Really?
After spending 90 minutes watching the Clinton/Trump debate I came to a realisation. Donald Trump is thick. Yes I know he is a successful businessman, he managed to mention it in just about every sentence he uttered. It doesn't take all that much brainpower to be good in business when your Dad is rich.
He didn't have any policies to back up his claims that he is going to make America great and he floundered and bellowed his way through the whole thing like a stupid bully. He makes outrageous claims and comments then steamrollers over anyone who disagrees with him and some people seem to think this is 'straight talking'.
The debate didn't go how he wanted so instead of blaming himself for not preparing for it he blames the microphone or the chairman for not liking him. I mean for God's sake, really?
America says it is the greatest nation on Earth and surely out of all the people there was a better choice for the top job than this childish, spoilt, arrogant man
You may not like Clinton but it's not like you are inviting her to dinner or anything. You are choosing someone to be your boss and she at least seems to have the capability to do it, Trump looks completely out of his depth. She may be part of the Establishment but that's the way the world works, it got America to the point where it is the most powerful nation on the planet.
But if America doesn't want to be taken seriously anymore then it can go ahead and put Trump in the Whitehouse. Just don't complain when it all comes crashing down around you.

Old People Fighting.
American TV news has today been full of pictures of an elderly lady stumbling into a car because she is suffering from pneumonia while working flat out.
Instead of people sympathising with her everyone is talking about how she should have told all of
America that she was ill instead of struggling on to the point of exhaustion.
Well lets look at this from her point of view. Her opponent has been making all sorts of allegations against her, including casting asperstions about her health.
If she came out and said that she had pneumonia Donald Trump would have no doubt crowed that he had been right all along, so she can't really be blamed for trying to keep it quiet.
And her health really is her own business, the same as it is for everybody else. Who wants details of their own health made public knowledge, it's nobody else's business.
Some people might say 'But she's running for President, we should know her health details'. Well I'm a Brit so I'm watching all this from the other side of the ocean but I can't remember any previous elections where runners have had to make their health records public knowledge.
It seems to be Donald Trump that is making this an issue and everybody is letting him call the tune.
For those who say that they don't think Hilary Clinton is trustworthy, do you really think that Trump is honest?
If you think he is then please get in touch with me as I have lots of useless shit I can talk you into buying off me.

Hate Club.
I was waiting for some traffic lights to turn green today and when they did the guy in the car in front of me seemed to take ages to get his car moving. Without thinking about it I found myself swearing out loud and my hand poised above my car horn ready to blast out my annoyance. Thankfully I managed to get a grip of my emotions but I started to wonder when did I become so short fused?
It's not just me either, lots of people seem to walking around ready to blow up in an instant at any perceived slight from another person. Distrust and intolerance of other people actually seems to be fashionable right now.
Here in the UK we have voted to leave the European Union, the largest trade agreement in world history and we have voted to leave it. And it all seems to come from an attitude of 'We are better off on our own and don't need to co-operate with our neighbours'.
Donald Trump looks frighteningly close to becoming President of the most powerful country on Earth and his popularity comes from his pandering to peoples fears and hate. I saw one of his supporters on TV saying 'We need a strong leader, I'm tired of fair and reasonable'.
When did being fair and reasonable become a bad thing? I imagine that this person would soon change his tune if Trump was being unfair and unreasonable to him.
Meanwhile over in the Middle East fanatics seem to be in competition to see who can commit the most brutal and depraved acts upon their fellow humans.
I know that history is full of violence and hate but we need to remember that it is also full of decency and kindness as well. I don't mean to sound like a liberal but we need to take a step back and have a good look at ourselves. When I was about to start banging my car horn at the driver in front of me I suddenly imagined how my behaviour would look if my 5 year old niece was in the car with me. This threw cold water on my little temper tantrum.
We need to to remember that our children are watching and learning from us. So calm down.
While you are here why don't you have a look at my website authentism.co.uk. It's all about the stuff in life that matters.
